IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING

SPA’S REQUEST TO HOA2 FOR COURT FUNDING

AND BECOME AN HOA2-FUNDED AMENITY

Dear SPA Members:

In May, SPA submitted a proposal to the HOA2 Board (the “Board”) under which HOA2 was asked to contribute funds towards the new pickleball courts AND turn SPA into HOA2-funded amenity.[1]

Since that time, we have had a number of communications with members of the HOA2 Board, and the Board held a working board meeting to discuss the proposal and give HOA2 homeowners an opportunity to learn more and ask questions.

Last week, we submitted a final proposal to the Board along with a significant amount of information they had requested.  The Board is in the process of reviewing our proposal and has scheduled another working board meeting on Wednesday, August 4, at 1:30 p.m. in the DesertView Theater.  At that meeting, the Board may be able to officially vote on our proposal.

Because of the increased construction costs reflected in the final contractor’s bid, the support we have requested from HOA2 is an essential component of our overall funding plan that we need to meet to proceed with construction at this time.  If HOA2 does not approve the grant we have requested, the SPA Board does not believe that SPA will be in a position to move forward with construction of the eight additional courts at this time.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT ON THE FOLLOWING ACTION ITEMS:

The Board will be providing HOA2 homeowners with links to our proposal in the near future so that HOA2 homeowners can review this information in advance of the August 4 meeting.  If the Board provides an online opportunity for comments in advance of the August 4 meeting, and you are an HOA2 homeowner, express your positive comments and support.

If you are in SaddleBrooke, plan to attend the August 4 meeting in person, whether you live in HOA1 or HOA2.  If you cannot attend in person, plan to participate in the meeting via the Zoom link that the Board provides.   If you are an HOA2 homeowner, express your positive comments and support when the Board opens up the floor for comments.[2]

WHAT SHOULD SPA MEMBERS SAY TO SHOW THEIR SUPPORT:

We have provided a significant amount of factual information in the attached “Fact Sheet.”  Please take the time to use this information, along with the information about our proposal that HOA2 will be sending out, to develop your own supportive communication to persuade the Board to approve our request.  It is extremely important that your voice be heard.
